National Income Life
Insurance Company is a 100% union company. It
is a subsidiary of American Income Life which as
served policy owners in North America for half a
century. National Income Life exclusively
serves New York State’s union members. There
are offices in Albany, Corning, New York City,
Syracuse, Buffalo, Long Island, and Rochester.
Being a 100% union company,
National Income Life has access to an
established and exclusive market. That is what
distinguishes them from standard insurance
companies. It also lets the company eliminate
prospecting and cold calling.
Union members and retirees
will be provided with Accidental Death and
Dismemberment benefits through National Income
Life. The company also provides the spouses and
children of union members with an additional
Accidental Death benefit. Coverage is in effect
around the clock, whether on or off the job. There
is no cost to the union member for these
benefits.
What National Income Life
is asking in return is the opportunity to
introduce union members to their permanent
benefit program. Members will be contacted
through direct mail about benefits that are
individually created for each member and their
family. Only the members and retirees who reply
through postage-paid response cards will be
given information about supplemental benefits.
National Income Life’s goal
is to give customers excellent service along
with having a long, profitable relationship for
both the company and the policy holder. The
company is always striving to get new benefit
coverage into the union market. When these
benefits develop, union representatives will be
contacted to see if the new benefits are
suitable to their members and retirees.
Members can access their
account on National Income Life’s website. They
can make changes to their name, address, and
miscellaneous information online. Claim forms
are also available on the website. If there are
changes to be made regarding beneficiaries, a
form will need to be mailed to the company.
When members sign up for additional benefits,
they are able to have their premiums deducted
from their bank account. To set that up, a
completed form and voided check will need to be
mailed to the company. Members can also opt to
have their premium notice sent to them via
E-mail which will allow them to pay their bill
online.
National Income Life gives
its members a free Child Safe Kit which will
hopefully prevent a child from being one of the
800,000 children who are reported missing each
year. The kit is used to safely store important
information on a child. National Income Life
members will also receive a complimentary copy
of their Family Information Guide which will let
members inform their loved ones about their
policy.
